Improvement Solutions was founded in 2025 by Tina Strehlo.

After earning an associate degree at Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) and years of work as a laboratory technician, she moved into adjunct work at CVTC. Later, she was asked to develop the first lab assistant program at Northwoods Technical College (at the time named Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College). She earned her bachelors degree in Career and Technical Education and Training from the University of Wisconsin Stout and left academia for business and industry. During this time she also earned her masters degree in Training and Human Resource Development and worked for a variety of organisations building or managing training programs for manufacturing, architecture and engineering, life sciences, insurance and sales.
